Q: How do I view a picture without the navigation buttons and rating showing?
A: Simply tap on the image and the navigation buttons and rating will hide showing just the image. When you want them back simply tap the image a second time and they will re-appear.
Q: Can I increase/decrease the size of a picture?
A: Yes. You can zoom in and out using the 2 finger pinch methods just like in Apple's photo program.
Q: Why can I not view some categories?
A: While adult media (pictures, audio, video, etc) is protected by Free Speech, the US Supreme Court has ruled that media that could be considered lewd is not necessarily protected by Free Speech. Therefore, media that could be considered lewd is restricted to registered users. This gives an extra layer of protection against minors viewing this type of content. Therefore, if you want access to these categories simply register for the low one time fee, and you will then gain access to all categories and content.
Q: I have purchased version 1, but when I upgrade to version 2 it asks for a serial number, which I do not have
A: Version 2 requires a separate license from version 1. However registered users of version 1 are eligible for a 40% discount. If you purchased version 1 on or after June 1, 2008 then you are eligible for a free upgrade. All registered 1 users should have received an email with either their upgrade code or their version 2 serial number. If you no longer have access to the email address you registered with, or did not receive the email, you can get your code at: http://www.isteamy.net/upgrade.php.
Q: I have purchased version 1, but when I try and register version 1 within the program I get a "registration failed" message
A: This means one of two things. Your registration has not been created, or there was an error in the serial number you submitted. If you have not sent in your device serial number please email it to isteamy @ codegenocide.com. Once we receive your serial number we will generate your registration as quickly as possible. You will know this process is complete when you receive a "Congratulations" email. If you have sent in your device serial number, and received the "Congratulations" email, please verify that you sent in the correct serial number. Pay special attention to the letters O, I, L and the numbers 0, and 1, as these can sometimes look alike. If you find a problem with the number you sent in, simply send the correct serial number in and just let us know what happened. Please note that version 2 no longer requires you to send in your serial number.
Q: I changed my mind, can I have a refund?
A: You are only eligible for a refund if the following two (2) requirements are met: 1) You have never used your serial number, as determined by our databases, and 2) There is just cause for requesting a refund.
Reasoning is as follows:
1) The reason refunds will not be issued after a registration has been created is the same reason you can not return an opened video game to the store. I think thats enough said. (if you wish more of an explanation you can email us and ask) Registrations are created after you send in your serial number and you receive the "Congratulations" email.
2) We do not offer refunds for no reason, therefore there must be just cause for issuing a refund. The iSteamy crew is solely responsible for deciding what falls under the "just cause" category.
Because of all the different firmware versions out there, we recommend trying iSteamy first, to make sure everything works on your device.
Q: How can I get more content in iSteamy?
A: The best way to get more content into iSteamy is to get your friends to use iSteamy. Since iSteamy is user contributable, it works like YouTube, the more users there are, the more unique and exclusive content that is available in iSteamy. This goes the same for yourself. Upload your own content. Take this opportunity to become a porn director and/or actor/actress.
Q: Will iSteamy be updated for the 2.0 firmware and the AppStore?
A: This is a two-fold question. Firstly, will it be updated for firmware 2.0, the answer to this is most likely. As firmware 2.0 is still in beta there are still many unanswered questions as to what we will end up with. I am sure the unofficial toolchain will be upgraded to work with firmware 2.0. As for is iSteamy will be added to the AppStore, the answer is... I hope, some day. According to Apple "Adult" applications are strictly prohibited in the AppStore. So unless Apple decides to loosen their restrictions, then we will sadly be kept out.
